In an effort to pass on some of the rarely heard music that Sammy has done the Sammy Hagar Mailing List is updating the Rare and Unreleased.  The compilation will be rarely heard music from Sammy Hagar solo, Van Hagar, Montrose, HSAS, and appearances he has made with other artists.  It will also include music he has done for soundtracks and cover songs he has done in concert.  This music will be pulled from the best sources we are able to find and put on CD.  The discs will be distributed by a "trading tree".  I will combine the songs to make master CD's and will distribute master CD's to other people who have the ability to burn CD's.  The other people (called branches.  I guess that means I'm the stump) will make copies to distribute to other people.  THESE CD'S WILL NOT BE SOLD!  We are not doing this for money.  We are doing this to share some wonderful music that Sammy has made that not everyone has heard.  If you wish to get a copy of the set please see the page below called How to Get a Copy.  Anyone wishing to help in this or if you have some rare items please contact swainb@hotmail.com and we will make sure you are a part.

What we need from you, the fan:

• Rare music - songs that are rarely heard and not widely availible to the public.   This would be covers or originals that were performed maybe on time in concert.   Or maybe you have found a studio recording that has a song that was never released.   Basicly anything that you haven't heard a lot.  Please contact me if you have something or know someone that does.
• Alternate versions - There are a few alternate versions that have surfaced such as an extended version of "Stading At The Same Old Crossroads"  Things like this will be included.  Radio and video edits will not.

I am also looking for more material!  This project is to continue as long as new music is surfacing.  More volumes will follow.
