How To Get A Copy
Please send your requests for copies of the SHML Archives to SHU@helpdesk.k12.ky.us Please include what you have to trade with (your trade list or blanks) and your e-mail address (IMPORTANT). Also include if you have a CD-R drive and would be willing to make copies. And please read everything below.
This is how you will get a copy of the set. You will send a request to the address above with your request for a copy of the SHML Archives and what volumes you want (not important right now, but I hope to add more volumes), what you have to trade with (your trade list or that you want to do a blank trade), and also if you have a CD-R drive and would be willing to make copies for others. Your request will be sent to a mailing list of people who are making copies. These people will reply back to the people they want to trade with. You then work out your trade with this person. Please be patient as some people are slower at checking their mail than others. If you do not get an answer after 1 week request again. Please be polite when you ask. Also, please be patient with the person you are trading with. Making copies of CD's takes time and I do not expect them to give up their life to make copies for you.
The standard for trades is listed below.
NO ONE IS TO MAKE ANY KIND OF PROFIT OFF THESE DISCS INCLUDING ME!
Standards:
1 CD=1 CD (with music) (obviously!)
=1 Video (with content, not a blank)
=2 Blank CDs
=2 Tapes (with music)
Note that blank CD's can be bought for $2.00 apiece or cheaper. I am asking that people not exchange money in trades.
Any other arraingements you work out with the person you are trading with. I can not be responsible for the people you trade with. I just remind you that you don't have to trade with anyone and you can always seek another person to trade with. If you feel someone is being unfair please let me know. DO NOT go accusing people publically on the list of being a bad trader until you have exhaused all attempts at fixing the situation.
Also, to set down what I see as fair. Each trader is responsible to make sure that the other person gets what they ask for. If someone sends a disc that has a flaw (that isn't on the original. Many of these recordings are less than perfect) then it is the responsibility of the person who made the disc to replace it (and not at the cost of the other person). I do not see it being unreasonable that the person who received the bad disc mail that bad disc back to the maker to ensure that the disc really is flawed. Remember to try out any flawed disc on several CD players to make sure that the disc really is bad. Some older CD players are unable to play CD-R discs.
Note that this is per CD in the set. The set will be multiple discs so you will have to multiply these numbers by the number of discs.
