• "Pasadena Partyslammers" is another CD pressing of the October 15, 1977 soundboard performance by Van Halen before the release of their first album. The mixing is pretty raw, however, this is a good representation of the band from the very early days. This concert continues to be the most copied show simply because it still remains (as of mid-2001) as one of the best audio recordings from the Dave-era.
• The final three tracks are from Kyoto, Japan on September 3, 1979. These tracks are from an audience recording released as a full show on two discs titled "Shooting Irons". The sound quality is less than perfect as far as audience recordings come. Highlights include Dave humming a little of the W&CF album when he introduces FYLT and Eddie playing the latter part of his guitar solo at the beginning of the final track, YRGM.
• It is the opinion of some that these last three tracks are a total waste of disc space due to the sound quality, however for many VH fans, any recordings of Dave-era shows will never be considered "a waste of disc space".
• The front cover states at the top that this is an "Ultimate Sound Recording". The front artwork highlights Eddie playing guitar with Mike, Dave and Alex emerging from stars to the left. The back artwork uses the same photo used for the cover of "Gazzari's '74" except that a map of Pasadena, California has been added to the background. Rear artwork also incorrectly indicates the Pasadena show as being from December 20, 1977. Photos published in The Inside magazine have been used throughout the inserts. The artwork is very high quality.
• This disc appears to be a repressing of the "Civic Pride" bootleg due to the same identical times that appear for all tracks. No changes are evident from comparative listening of the two discs. The total running time for both discs match exactly at 71:48. The disc indicates that it was pressed in Taiwan.
