• This is a re-mastered version of the Die Laughing LP bootleg. The sound quality is better, quite similar to some of the other boots from this same show. On the inside cover and the back cover there are some comments about the CD:

  "This is a re-mastered CD version of the Van Halen bootleg LP called Die Laughing. Recorded in Pasadena, CA., 12/20/77, this is a high-quality show in both sound and performance. Hear the original lineup of the band just under 2 months before their debut LP was released on Warner Bros. Records. This is a limited edition re-master and is on CD-R media, not a regular silver CD. Some versions of this boot have the dialog between songs cut out. This one, however, has all of the dialog included."

• The front cover is a vintage yellow-style color. It has 4 individual pictures of Dave, Ed, Mike, and Alex from that same time period. In the bottom left corner of the cover is says "Re-master Not For Sale" The performance and sound is better, and unlike a lot of the boots from this show, the speed doesn't seem too slow.
• The inside cover is blank. However, there is a separate piece of paper with a flyer printed on it, dated Friday, October 1st., probably in 1977. It's a purplish, lavender color with an old picture of the band on stage back when Eddie hadn't cut up his Destroyer guitar. According to the flyer, Van Halen was the main act and two other bands, Headwinds and Eulogy were the other 2 on the bill for that evening.
• The back cover gives the track listing and the same comments as the inside cover, word for word. In the top right corner is a picture of Dave, looking rather drunk. The bottom right corner is a picture of the band from around the time their first album was released. The date printed on the artwork for the show (12/20/77) is incorrect though. The actual date of this show was October 15, 1977.
• Released in late 2000.
