Notes

• The purpose of this compilation is to honor and uniquely capture the very essence of Van Halen's flagship 1978 world tour during their professional infancy. To provide the most expansive possible representation and historical perspective of this legendary time in the band's history, every song Van Halen performed live on the tour has been included. Most have been sourced from different dates and venues, and sequentially positioned in the same order as they were played on location with as indiscernible song transitions as could be achieved. The desired outcome is for the listener to feel as though they are a member of the audience witnessing the band's musicianship, personality, and nuance developed throughout the duration of their first world tour in one all-encompassing show. At conclusion of the last song, the listener should feel exhausted, fulfilled, inspired, and excited to take the trip all over again as if they just spent nine glorious months following the band around the world.
• Most of the audio changes made involved slightly adjusting amplification to avoid noticeable volume fluxuations and, of course, crossfading was used at the beginning and end of each track to achieve smooth transitions between songs from different sources. No equalization or other hokus pocus was used to alter the sources' sound.

Page 17 is David Lee Roth, page 18 is Michael Anthony, page 19 is Alex Van Halen. Pages 20&21 is a live stage shot of the band. Pages 22&23 are notes and credits about the release. Page 24 is another live shot of the band on stage.
• The rear artwork is black with white text for the set list. A photo and VH logo also appear.
• The under-tray image is a red tinted shot of Dave on stage at the Day on the Green Festival from 1978.
• The disc artwork is a shot of Dave bent backwards from the cover of the 1978 Japan tour book, and the set list.
• Compilation and artwork are by Panamaniac.
