This 2 CD set was mastered from 2nd generation analog cassettes. The taper used an Awia Stereo Walkman and recorded the show from the loge level of the Brendan Byrne Arena.
This is one of several sources recorded on April 2, 1984. Two of the known sources are complete, including the version used for this set. This source did not circulate widely prior to two years ago. It is vastly superior to the distant source with the very loud audience that has circulated widely since the mid-1980s.
The taper recalled that on the night of the show one of his biggest worries was trying to keep his girlfriend quiet while he taped. During Alex's drum solo, you can hear where he failed to do so.
Overall, this is a very enjoyable show to listen to. It is not going to make anyone forget Indy 7/6/84 or any of the San Francisco 84 recordings, but it is easy on the ears. A solid "VG+" which is well worth adding to your collection. Many thanks to R. O. for putting this set together.
