• Front cover has (l to r: Mike, Sammy, Al, Ed) standing in front of the set with a yellow pyro explosion in the background. Toward the bottom is a pink VH ring logo with the title in white lettering. Sammy has a white t-shirt on that says "Rockasaurus".
• Back cover is solid black with the track listing in yellow lettering over top of a faint gray VH ring logo.
• The disc is silver with black print, a picture of a horse and the phrase "not for sale promotional copy". The bottom of the CD just says "I CAN'T TELL YOU" in black print.
• The CD comes in a slightly over sized, high gloss, thin cardboard envelope.
• This is a soundboard recording of the February 1st 1989 Tokyo show, from the OU812 tour.
• The sound of the disc is excellent, with Sammy's vocals coming through very clearly indeed. They seem to stand out over the music, unlike some of Sammy's studio work with Van Halen, where his vocals often seem to tuck into the track. The musical width of the instruments, however, seems to be somewhat restricted through production. Alex's drums are clear, but Edward's guitar isn't in the classic "brown sound" mold. It seems quite thin, although not dissimilar to his sound on the OU812 album. Michael's bass, too, seems somewhat buried in the mix. It is fairly evident that, aside from Sammy's vocals, the producer has attempted to recreate the sound of the OU812 album. "When It's Love" and "Black and Blue" in particular, sound much like their original studio mixes.
• The setlist here is quite mixed, with 4 songs from "5150", 4 from "OU812", 2 Dave-era tunes, as well as Alex, Sammy and Edward's solos. Interestingly, only six minutes of Edward's solo is included here. The obligatory "One Way to Rock" and "I Can't Drive 55" are also included. Strangely, "Jump" is nowhere to be seen !
• In summation, this is an excellent disc, especially since OU812-era bootlegs are quite rare, and because of the excellent quality. This is as good as the 1988/89 tour gets, disc-wise, and is recommended for all.
