• Audience recording, one cam. Filmed from the upper right.
• Video: (CBG) Ricoh R-600 (same specs as Sony CCD-V5) 8mm camcorder (w/ 2X teleconverter lens) master 8mm analog tape; NTSC, 4:3 PAR, 29.97 fps; transferred to harddrive via firewire using a Sony TRV-330 8mm digital camera w/ Time Base Correction; video capture, editing, and 2-pass VBR encoding done with Sony Vegas Pro 12 at 8.2K max, 8.0K avg, 1K min; authored to DVD in Sony DVD Architect Pro 6. All video editing, audio synching and DVD authoring by Silver Stallion.
• Audio: recorded w/ Aiwa-CM30A mic through the Ricoh R-600's external mic in jack; captured with the video from the master 8mm analog tape; LPCM 1536 bit.
• There's a CBG watermark in the lower right corner, and an occassional screen that pops up (doesn't really obscure the show) talking about how you shouldn't have paid for the show.
• Story from the filmer about getting the camera into the venue:
  I went to Providence and then Hartford on April 8th but didn't bring the camcorder thinking I can't get it into these places. Then I went to Nassau Coliseum for Bruce Springsteen in the beginning of April and got it in twice. That was the first time I ventured out of my comfort zone. The search was thorough but they weren't patting you on the back for those searches. The next DLR show in the northeast was two weeks after Hartford, CT at Nassau Coliseum on April 21st. So after the two Springsteen shows there, I thought it would be doable and I tried. Well, this time the search was very tough. They are head to toe patting down people at a barricade out front of the entrance doors. They also had metal detector wands. Oh man! They didn't have those at Springsteen! This doesn't look like it is happening now, I thought. I walked around observing how the searching was going. This looked like no way I was getting into the show with this camera strapped on my back. I had no other option, it was way too big to go in my crotch! Remember that anxiety curve and the wanting factor...well, because the camera was strapped to my back with two belts around my chest, and they were tightened so the camera would not slip down my chest, my anxiety was rising due to the searching going on and the wanting to get this show factor, the belts seamed to cut off my ability to breath normally. They restricted me and it made the pressure seam even that much more intense. After walking back and forth several times observing the search, I saw one lady that was a little lackadaisical in her approach. Maybe she was tired or didn't care, but that was my one and only opportunity to get in. She is not patting people on the back like every other security guy is as they frisk all the patrons going through the lines. But she does have a metal detector wand. So I get in line and feel like I am going to pass out due to the belts around my chest with the anxiety of going through the search and the wanting factor for the show. I get there and she checks the pockets of my jacket, my front pockets on my pants and my ankles then she moves the metal detector wand over the front of me over my head to my back and it beeps but she says go on...ugh....I politely say thank you and move along quickly. I felt like a balloon letting out air...I started to breathe again and stop sweating even though it was still cold outside with winter trying to hold on in the northeast. The metal detector goes off and she doesn't do anything. Gotta love it. God Loves Video!!! Mission accomplished! Partially...now I had to go do the 'easy part' of filming the show...ha! David Lee Roth always puts on a higher level show in the big cities in the northeast like NY and Boston. It was rocking and high energy. I finally filmed one of my favorite front men myself. Enjoy the Nassau show now for yourself.
